3 x High Paying work from home jobs

Hi angels, welcome back to yet another blog! In this blog, I’m going to be doing something a little bit different and writing to give mamma’s out there some ideas about working from home and generating a sustainable income.

Without further ado, let’s get into it. So in this blog, we will be going through 3 x top paying jobs that you can do from home!

Lots of people want to work from home for various reasons, whether that’s flexibility, being your own boss, convenience, personal choice and so forth. However, with so many opportunities out there, it may be confusing or overwhelming to decide, well, what type of job can I do from home and also generate a sustainable income.

Don’t worry, what we won’t be doing, is suggesting that you go and join all these marketing surveys, that take ages to fill in and you might be lucky you get a voucher at the very end if you’re lucky and haven’t already given up with the questionnaire! So go get that cup of tea or coffee and get settled into brainstorming some new career opportunities.

A big misconception that many people have is that they are always looking for ways to make money, but very quickly. Let’s be frank, anything worth doing, require time investing into it. So if you’re serious about working from home, and want to make a high income, you need to GRAFT. You need to be willing to put in the time, the effort in order to see the fruits of your labour or so to speak.

So, lets get started. Job number one is a virtual assistant. This is just like a personal assistant but works from home, normally for a small number of different clients. Clients benefit from this because they get the help they need to run their business without the hassle, cost or risk of employing someone. Typically, a person can charge around £10 to £35 an hour, depending on your experience and the length of contract or agreement you have with your client.

Career path number two is a graphic designer. You definitely need to be creative for this role, have an eye for detail and obviously have the software skills for this. But if you don’t already specialise in graphic design, but are really interested in doing so, you can always teach yourself. This may mean, doing a few projects for a lower rate, just to build up your portfolio and client base. However, once you are up and running, a freelance graphic designer can earn anything between £15 – £40 per hour.

This brings me to my final top paying, work at home job, which is a translator. We live in a world now, where there is so much diversity, and with diversity comes lots of different cultures and most importantly, different languages. A lot of us can speak more than 1 language, but to make a career out of it? Now, that would be fantastic! There is a real big need for translators and all you need to be able to do is speak fluent English as well as be fluent in another language. It also helps to be able to multitask.

Usually for work like this, you would get paid per job or session, as you may need to do a telephone translation, virtual translation or even attend a meeting which can last longer than an hour. IT’s up to you whether you prefer to offer an hourly rate or charge per session but this is usually within the range of £50 – £200 per session.

With all 3 x suggestions, its important for you to be persistent, as you may not see results right away and that is okay. Because all good things take a bit of time. Have a plan of action, set yourself some goals and most importantly understand your target market and how to reach them. Give your client a reason to buy into YOU and your skill set. Make sure you have a unique selling proposition, so you stand out from the competition. This will help build your client list and also develop your experience.

All the best my beautiful lovelies and I hope this gave you a few ideas on some high paying jobs to do from home, or even sparked some inspiration in you to start a venture from home. All the best ❤

What to do for my baby’s 1st Birthday?

Heyyy Beautiful Angels, hope you’re having a wonderful day! Can you believe it snowed this week?! Brrr. Bubba has just had his milk and is busy terrorising the living room with his newly found skill of crawling! Feel like I am forever just chasing after him. I have come to learn, there is no mammal that is quite as fast as a baby, that can crawl and you ask them “what’s in your mouth?” Whooooshhh, they’re off at the speed of lightning! So exhausting, lol.

Anyway, hope you have your cup of tea / coffee & biscuits ready, especially on this rather chilly day!

So, I have been debating for a long time as to what I should do for my bubba’s 1st Birthday to make it special. Oh wow, how is he even turning 1? Where has the time gone, like it has been such an eventful, emotional journey. Some days were just at a standstill, the beginning was such a rocky start for me, from fear of the unknown, meddling mother-in-law, stressful labour, to the whole breastfeeding journey. It feels like only yesterday I was holding bubba in my arms for the 1st time, tears running down my face as I clutch him close to me. How is he crawling and teething and learning all these new skills in a blink of an eye?

At first, I wanted to plan the party of the century; hire a venue, caterers, get a stage, big cake etc. Then I started to put the guest list together, which just got longer and longer; from my own family, extended family members and friends to hubby’s family, hubby’s extended family and friends! The more I planned, the more stressed I got and the more I thought about it the more I realised how this is turning into the event of the century but I kept telling myself it is all worth it as it’s my first baby and how cannn we not throw him a massive party.

After a week of researching ideas and putting lists together, it felt like de ja vu from when we me and the hubby tied the knot five years ago. We decided to throw the wedding of the century and create the wedding of our dreams but looking back I wish we had put that money towards the deposit of a house or put it towards a longer honeymoon. This got me thinking, as much as I enjoyed my wedding day – it was more for everyone else and the guests that attended. Will bubba even remember his big birthday party that I’m throwing him? No, not really. Will I enjoy the day? No, not really as I will be too busy hosting, running around, trying to keep to my schedule. So what’s the point, if me and hubby aren’t going to enjoy it and neither is my little cherub? This got me really thinking and brought me to the realisation that I should take all time, effort and money and channel it into something we will all enjoy. I have been wanting to go on holiday for a little while and well, what better birthday gift to give my son for his 1st birthday than the gift of an experience?

So back to the drawing board it was, after more research – I found a lovely family resort that is very baby friendly by the beach. Hubby has been so busy with work while I have been so busy with raising our son and to be honest, we haven’t had lots of family time so it will be nice to get away from reality and just the three of us spend time together and make memories.

Time to start planning for our first trip as a family ❤

To Blog or not to blog… That is the question

Hi Angels, welcome to my blog! Grab your cup of tea, or coffee & biscuits and lets get started:)

For a long time I have debated whether to blog or not, but after fully immersing myself into parenthood and new motherhood, I am in need of finding myself again.

From pregnancy, to morning sickness, to giving birth and post birth – it has been one hell of roller coaster journey! The constant tiredness has been so overwhelming to say the least. Lets start by rewinding back to 2018, the year I became a mum to my lovely baby boy, who is my everything. I think, no matter how many books you read, how much research you do or even getting advise from family and friends, nothing can prepare you for what you’re about to embark upon. How something can be so fulfilling yet so frustrating at the the same time is really quite phenomenal!

During the pregnancy, I put all my ambitions and hobbies on hold as morning sickness to over and me and the toilet seat found great comfort in each other. Looking back, I can’t believe how naive I was, counting down until bubba was born, when in hindsight – pregnancy was the easy part. So after a prolonged labour (will bore you with the details on another post if you’re interested), he was finally here! Fast track to current day, 8 months later… I’m feeling like I have lost myself; the once very motivated, career driven, proactive person that I used to see reflecting back at me in the mirror – is now replaced by an over exhausted, crazy-looking, almost older version of myself.

There comes a time for everyone, where you want to find yourself again and get that mojo back. For me, that time is now and in all honestly, I feel like I have put all things ‘me’ to one side and I’m ready to kick start my life back on track, take you on that journey with me, whilst also taking you through the different experiences and journeys I have been through in my life.
